Job summary

Arup is seeking a senior/principal mechanical engineer for one of our offices in the north with experience delivering water utility projects. You will contribute mechanical input to projects and be responsible for supporting and engaging less experienced staff, while participating in AMP8 delivery frameworks for UK utilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable track record of mechanical engineering feasibility and design in the water utilities industry.
• Knowledge of BIM, Plant 3D or other specialist packages.
• Good knowledge of pumping system design standards and best practice.
• Degree qualified, likely Masters level Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with IMechE or relevant body, or progressing toward chartership

Responsibilities

• Provide key mechanical input to projects and support and engage less experienced staff.
• Deliver feasibility and design projects as part of AMP8 delivery frameworks for water utilities.
• Contribute to work winning activities and build industry networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions.
