Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our client in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead the design, development and optimization of complex energy process systems, driving safety, efficiency and environmental performance across projects.

Responsibilities include feasibility studies, process simulations (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim), documenting P&IDs and PFDs, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering in the energy sector.
• Experience in process design, simulation (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim), and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex energy process systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and technical evaluations for projects.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and PFDs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Stay abreast of latest technological advancements and best practices in the energy sector.
