Job summary

Malone Group is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to manage the project delivery of smaller process projects. You will design hygienic process plants, write technical specifications, and lead multi-disciplinary teams from concept through commissioning.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemical or Physics Engineering, has strong process engineering and project management experience, and can handle commercial and documentation tasks, HSE compliance, ISO 9001, and timely handover to customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Physics Engineering with experience in Process Engineering and Project management.
• Strong administrative skills with PC-based software for word processing, spreadsheets, and project programming.
• Motivated self-starter with ability to lead project teams and manage deadlines.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and subcontractors; uphold ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Design hygienic process plants meeting customer requirements across process, mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering.
• Develop mass and energy balances for new and modified processes.
• Manage project programmes and progress tracking.
• Handle commercial aspects including variation orders and negotiations.
• Specify equipment, raise purchase orders, and manage procurement.
• Oversee plant installation, QA, safety, and subcontractor compliance.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and site documentation.
• Deliver timely as-built drawings and plant manuals.
• Provide training for operating plants and handover.
• Participate in tendering with accurate estimation of hours and costs.
• Uphold health & safety and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Maintain Catalogue System and update process literature.
• Contribute to improving company standards and ISO forms.
• Ensure professional conduct in office and timesheet accuracy.
