Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations in a high-value, low-volume environment.

You will own process development, continuous improvement, production support and manufacturing engineering activities, working closely with Engineering, Design, Quality, Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to boost efficiency, cut waste and ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in process development and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of DFMA and lean principles.
• Proven ability to implement PFMEA and 8D problem solving.
• Experience supporting low-volume, high-value manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes with a DFMA focus.
• Implement efficient processes, production flows and factory layouts.
• Carry out PFMEA to identify risks and preventive actions.
• Analyse workflows and drive standardisation and improvements.
• Apply Lean and Lean Six Sigma to cut waste and boost efficiency.
• Support modular build strategies and continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams.
• Create SOPs, work instructions and visual standards.
• Resolve manufacturing issues to minimise downtime.
• Develop training materials and standardised working practices.
• Ensure processes meet health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Specify and select new equipment; support installation and commissioning.
• Develop tooling and fixtures to improve efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities with supply chain teams.
• Maintain process documentation and data; manage BOM/routing changes.
