Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd is hiring a Senior Process Engineer to support the design of complex thermal and fluid systems for a SMR project within the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. The role covers analysis, P&ID development, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver safe, compliant turbine island solutions.

You will work in a hybrid model with regular collaboration across UK offices and customer sites, contributing to an internal centre of excellence for calculation methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of steam turbines, condensers, feedwater heaters, pumps and piping systems.
• Experience from FEED to EPC delivery.
• Procurement and supplier liaison experience.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with UK Health and Safety regulations and HAZOP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier deliverables meet requirements.
• Create and review Process Flow Diagrams and P&ID.
• Conduct option studies and design documentation.
• Develop functional and design requirements.
• Integrate Turbine Island design into the plant.
• Provide technical support for Turbine Island interfaces.
• Support safety reviews and licensing activities.
