Job summary

Assystem is seeking a dedicated Electrical Systems Engineer for the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. You will drive design and development of electrical systems for the SMR power plant, defining architecture, selecting equipment, and verifying performance.

You will define requirements, analyze designs, and collaborate with regulators and IPTs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Hybrid work is available with UK travel to sites and offices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building electrical services design.
• Expertise in space management, cable routing, and cable management.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Degree in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define & Manage Requirements - review, refine, and document high-level electrical requirements.
• Design, Analyze & Verify - develop robust designs and conduct modeling and verification activities.
• Ensure Compliance & Quality - support design reviews and ensure regulatory safety standards.
• Support Strategy & Risk Management - identify risks and mitigation strategies for project success.
• Develop & Share Knowledge - create policies, training materials, and best practices.
• Collaborate & Represent - work with IPTs and external stakeholders to drive standardization.
