Job summary

NRL Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support a 6-month engineering project in a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on producing a suite of Process Engineering deliverables to support Hazard Identification at feasibility-level maturity, with close collaboration to the Process Engineering Project Lead.

You will develop Process Overview, Basis of Design, PFDs and related documentation, ensuring technical accuracy, governance and stakeholder engagement, while

Job description

Location: AWE – Hybrid, 3–4 days on site per week

Contract: 6 months

Rate: £70.00 per hour

Security Clearance: Current DV Clearance required

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support a 6-month engineering project within a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a suite of Process Engineering deliverables to support Hazard Identification activities at feasibility-level maturity.

You will work closely with the Process Engineering Project Lead to establish project expectations, applicable engineering standards, required deliverables and the appropriate level of documentation maturity.

Key Responsibilities

• - Produce Process Engineering documentation to support Hazard Identification activities.
• - Work closely with the Process Engineering Project Lead to confirm requirements and applicable engineering standards.
• - Ensure engineering deliverables meet relevant phase completion requirements.
• - Develop accurate, high-quality technical documentation to support early-stage engineering design.
• - Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and expectations.

You will be responsible for developing a range of Process Engineering documentation, including:

• - Process Overview
• - Process Basis of Design
• - Block Diagrams / Overall Process Flow Sheets
• - Process Flow Sheets
• - Activity Sequence Diagrams
• - Mass and Energy Balances
• - Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
• - Proven experience working as a Process Engineer or Senior Process Engineer.
• - Experience producing Process Engineering documentation for feasibility-level engineering design.
• - Good understanding of Hazard Identification activities and relevant engineering standards.
• - Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• - Excellent stakeholder engagement and multidisciplinary working skills.
• - Current DV security clearance is essential.
