Job summary

TSR Legal are supporting a top 100 UK law firm in Cardiff to hire a Private Client Solicitor for HNW/UHNW matters. You will advise clients on wealth protection, estate planning and succession strategies, handling complex estates and trusts.

The role involves managing sophisticated caseloads, cross‑practice collaboration, and delivering tailored wealth advice to high‑net‑worth individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• You will manage a varied and sophisticated caseload, providing strategic advice to clients seeking to protect, preserve and pass on their wealth.
• Advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business owners and trustees on complex private client matters.
• Drafting wills and developing bespoke estate and succession planning strategies.
• Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and other tax-sensitive wealth preservation matters, working with appropriate tax specialists where required.
• Establishing and advising on trusts, including their administration, management and long-term objectives.
• Managing estate administration and probate matters, including high-value and complex estates.
• Supporting intergenerational wealth planning, family succession and the transfer of business and personal assets.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across private wealth, family, corporate, agriculture and estates, and other relevant practice areas to deliver a coordinated service.
