Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Private Client Solicitor in Lancashire to take a senior, strategic role within a growing team. You will manage complex estates and drive the direction of the private client department from Lancashire.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ PQE with expertise in wills, trusts, probate and tax planning, and experience supervising junior colleagues. A strong client-facing, commercially astute profile is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ PQE in private client law with high-value matters.
• Strong expertise in wills, trusts, probate and tax planning.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex and taxable estates including high-value probate matters.
• Advise high net worth individuals on tax and estate planning.
• Draft wills and establish lifetime and protective trusts.
• Prepare and advise on lasting powers of attorney.
• Oversee estate administration from instruction to completion.
• Provide technical guidance within the team.
• Support department strategy and growth.
• Mentor junior colleagues.
