Job summary

Gerrard White Consulting is working with a long-established firm near Reigate, seeking an experienced Private Client lawyer to manage a broad caseload with autonomy. You will handle wills, probate, LPAs, trusts and estate planning, drafting and advising end-to-end, with IHT matters and distributions overseen.

A supportive team and hybrid working are offered to foster development. Ideal candidates will have a Solicitor or CILEx background with 5+ PQE, strong drafting skills and the ability to

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Private Client background.
• Around 5+ years PQE (or more).
• Ability to explain technical points clearly in writing and in person.
• Genuine attention to detail required for drafting.
• Confidence building lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Draft, advise and manage your own files end to end.
• Take instructions and manage cases independently.
• Prepare wills and trust deeds, apply for probate and admin.
• Handle IHT matters with HMRC and guide estates to distribution.
