Job summary

Gerrard White Consulting near Reigate is seeking an experienced Private Client lawyer to join a long-established firm with a settled Private Client team. This role covers wills, probate, estate administration, LPAs and trusts, with inheritance tax advice threaded through it.

You will draft, advise and manage your own files end to end, taking instructions, preparing wills and trust deeds, and handling probate applications while working within a supportive, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CLC with Private Client focus.
• Around five years' post-qualification experience or more.
• Ability to explain technical points clearly in writing and in person.
• Genuine attention to detail required for drafting tasks.
• Confidence building lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Draft, advise and manage files end to end: take instructions, prepare wills and trust deeds.
• Apply for grants of probate and letters of administration.
• Handle IHT matters with HMRC and oversee estate distribution.
