Job summary

Our client, a well-established Basildon law firm, seeks a Private Client Solicitor with 5+ PQE to lead a busy caseload in Wills, Probate and Trusts. The role focuses on non-contentious matters, providing clear, practical advice and progressing matters efficiently from instruction to completion.

You will contribute to department development, nurture client relationships, and uphold regulatory standards within a supportive professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Experience in Wills, Probate and Trusts.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong drafting, communication and organisational skills.
• Regulatory and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied Private Client caseload independently.
• Advising on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Trust matters.
• Drafting Wills, LPAs, and other documentation.
• Handling estate administration from start to finish.
• Conducting legal research and ensuring accuracy.
• Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and third parties.
• Ensuring compliance with Law Society, SRA, and firm procedures.
• Delivering high standards of client care.
