Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the Prison Services Pharmacy team. You will manage day-to-day medications management within HMP Erlestoke and line manage a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.

You will oversee Healthroster, workload distribution, supervision and training, ensure Wholesale Dealers Licence compliance, and support medicines optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the medications management service within HMP Erlestoke.
• Line manage a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants; oversee healthroster and work distribution.
• Ensure compliance with Wholesale Dealers Licence requirements.
• Act as accredited checking technician (ACT) providing final accuracy checks.
• Oversee the use of JAC in the pharmacy and ensure high standard of ordering and stock management.
• Administer prescribed and stock medicines on the wings against valid prescriptions or policies.
