Job summary

AECOM is expanding its Water Team in Scotland and seeks a Senior/Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects from feasibility through to design, construction support and commissioning. The role covers Scotland with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Inverness, including the SR27 Enterprise framework and other water/wastewater initiatives.

You will mentor teams, manage scope, schedule, and costs, and drive client engagement and business development while promoting health

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing projects within consultancy, engineering or infrastructure environments.
• Experience in leading bids, proposals or business development activities.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary and multi-organisation teams.
• Able to balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
• Proficient in project management and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects in line with client and AECOM requirements.
• Define project scope, schedule, resources and risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and other team members, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Manage project commercial performance, including forecasting, costs and cash flow.
• Oversee effective contract administration and quality delivery.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers where required.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, client engagement and future opportunities.
• Champion a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture.
