Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior/Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary water projects in Scotland, from feasibility through to design, construction support and commissioning. The Water Team in Scotland numbers over 150 professionals with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Inverness.

We deliver a diverse portfolio shaping sustainable water systems and manage complex contracts, including frameworks with Scottish Water.

Qualifications

• Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Strong track record delivering projects successfully.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts advantageous.
• Chartered or working towards professional membership (APM, PMI, CIOB, ICE, RICS) desirable.
• Security clearance checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects in line with client and AECOM requirements.
• Define project scope, schedule, resources and risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and other team members, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Manage project commercial performance, including forecasting, costs and cash flow.
• Oversee effective contract administration and quality delivery.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers where required.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, client engagement and future opportunities.
• Champion a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture.
