Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment is partnering with a leading global engineering organisation to recruit a Senior Principal Software Engineer. You will shape software architecture, drive technical strategy and lead the development of embedded software for safety-critical systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across disciplines and ensure DO-178C compliance while delivering robust, high-integrity software for regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience developing embedded software for real-time systems.
• Experience defining software architecture and technical strategy in safety-critical environments.
• Strong background in DO-178C and software certification lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software architecture and technical direction for embedded projects.
• Design and develop real-time embedded software using C/C++.
• Develop software for advanced control and actuation systems.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware and verification engineers for integration.
• Ensure compliance with DO-178C and safety standards.
• Lead verification, validation and integration activities.
• Mentor engineers and drive lifecycle best practices.
• Support engineering decisions through technical reviews.
• Deliver reliable, mission-critical software solutions.
