Job summary

WSP UK seeks a Senior/Principal Consultant in Environmental Consents to lead environmental inputs for major onshore renewables. You will manage planning applications, EIA work, and support DCO examinations and inquiries, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and client relations from bid to delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental field with focus on EIA.
• Progress towards or holding IEMA Practitioner/Chartered status.
• Experience leading EIA for onshore renewables within UK regimes.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental inputs for onshore renewables projects: planning, EIA, DCO support.
• Coordinate surveys, reports and stakeholder engagement to support regulatory processes.
• Bid support, fee adjustments and client communications to secure work.
• Mentor junior staff and promote health, safety and quality assurance.
• Contribute to strategic bid preparation and innovative techniques.
