Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate/Associate Director to lead environmental consents for onshore renewable energy projects in the UK. You will manage environmental assessments, obtain planning approvals, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across proposals, bids and client engagements.

You will drive strategic planning, maintain client relationships and deliver high-quality environmental advice throughout project lifecycles, while promoting innovative, sustainable design approaches.

Qualifications

• Relevant environmental or planning degree (or equivalent), with chartered status or actively pursuing chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental contributions across project designs and assessments for onshore renewables.
• Deliver planning applications, EIA, and support DCO examinations and inquiries.
• Identify, win and deliver multi-disciplinary inputs for onshore renewables projects.
• Oversee recruitment, bidding, project team management, delivery and financials.
• Drive strategy, proposals and framework opportunities for business growth.
• Champion innovation through Digital EIA and future-ready approaches.
• Mentor team members and promote inclusive, safe working practices.
