Job Description:

Wood is recruiting contract Senior and Principal Technical Safety Engineers for our Technical HSE Team in Reading.

You will collaborate with the Design HSE Group within the Engineering Department and liaise with the Group Manager Design HSE. This department is part of Wood's New Energies business.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering
• Membership of a recognized professional institution (e.g., Chartered Engineer)
• Technical expertise in core Design Safety areas such as hazard identification, consequence modeling, risk assessment, and knowledge of international standards
• Experience applying Design Safety in environments including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG, Carbon Capture, or Hydrogen Production
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and team-working skills, with the ability to manage own and others' work
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in the process industry, energy, oil and gas, refining, and petrochemicals sectors
• Leadership skills and experience
