Petroplan is hiring a Lead Process Safety Engineer

Location: Hersham, Surrey

This is a permanent staff role with hybrid working arrangements, allowing for two days per week from home.

Compensation: Comes with a full staff package.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

1. Significant experience as a Process Safety Engineer, preferably within an EPC or design function of an operating company. Experience with Ammonia synthesis, Syngas generation (Steam methane reforming, Autothermal reformers, Partial oxidation reactors), Hydrogen separation/liquefaction, Electrolysis, CO2 capture/purification, or Cryogenic Air Separation is preferred.
2. Knowledge in process safety management (PSM), hazard identification techniques, quantitative risk analysis, facility siting, and familiarity with regional regulatory codes and standards.
3. Proven experience leading or facilitating hazard review and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies.
4. Proficiency in using safety software tools such as DNV PHAST and PHAWorks.
