We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Level Chartered Building Surveyor to join our established Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team.
The core responsibilities will largely relate to transactional-based instructions across the UK with the opportunity to assist on pan-European projects also. The workload will be varied, including technical advisory, professional, and heritage project work, with flexibility to accommodate the specific skill sets and aspirations of the applicant.
The successful candidate should be technically excellent with a broad range of experience in commercial surveying, including Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Condition Surveys. Ability to manage multiple instructions is essential.
The role involves a mixed workload, often balancing different instructions simultaneously. The candidate will focus on service delivery, working as part of a larger team, supporting to achieve exceptional outcomes, and confidently dealing directly with clients.
Effective time management is required to meet deadlines and ensure profitability of instructions.
The key focus will be on TDD advice and reporting to identify risks, quantify their severity, and recommend mitigation strategies. The role includes mainly Technical Due Diligence, along with some professional work on various building types, primarily commercial and some heritage work.
This position carries a high level of responsibility and accountability, offering opportunities to develop managerial and technical skills and to progress within a growing specialist team.
You will manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions, including TDD, condition surveys, dilapidations, and other projects.
Effective communication is essential to ensure all information is available for successful project completion. Collaboration with Project Managers and Team Leaders is necessary for efficient financial control and cost-effective service delivery.
You will provide regular updates to the Sector Director on contract progress and support mentoring and supervising junior building surveyors.
