Salary
Senior: £43,537.00 - £48,702.50 / Principal: £48,702.50 - £53,870.00 per annum
Contract: 37 hours per week, full-time permanent. Agile working supported.

Career progression is available. If appointed as Senior (Grade H), you will automatically progress to Principal (Grade I) upon meeting the Essential Job Requirements of the Principal role.
The Job
We are experiencing a sustained increase in Building Regulations applications in this fast-growing District. We seek a Senior or Principal Surveyor with at least Class 2D registration who can handle all application types, support less experienced team members, and mentor them towards higher registration classes.
The Role
Our work ranges from small domestic developments to large, complex commercial projects, including significant developments around Oxford, Banbury, and Bicester, as well as domestic projects in Conservation Areas.
Your responsibilities include desk-based review of Full Plans submissions, providing support to clients, and conducting site inspections.
Our Building Control team collaborates closely with Development Control and other internal teams, offering technical advice and working with Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The successful candidate will be appointed based on ability to meet the essential requirements. This is a career-graded position; progression from Senior to Principal will occur once the criteria are met.
The Person
You should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and proactive. Hybrid working is supported, with occasional office presence required.
