Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Senior Principal Applied AI Engineer to own the long-term technical vision and architectural integrity of enterprise AI platforms. You will guide architecture decisions, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Security, and business teams to scale AI capabilities across Aviva.

You will lead teams to deliver high-quality, scalable AI solutions, shaping investment priorities and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in leading complex applied AI/ML/LLM systems at enterprise scale.
• Technical authority with ability to set direction and influence standards.
• Strong Python software engineering and design for scalable AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of multi-agent AI systems for high-value use cases.
• Define engineering standards across orchestration, context engineering, MCP integration, memory design, fine-tuning, evaluation, and multimodal systems.
• Build reusable AI capabilities including agent tools, MCP servers, skills, and shared assets.
