Job summary

Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Primary Care Mental Health Nurse to join the Primary Care Mental Health Service across the Braintree and Maldon locality in Essex. This full-time, 12-month fixed-term role (37.5 hours per week) requires clinical leadership and effective collaboration with GP practices and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse with NMC registration and non-medical prescriber status.
• Experience in community mental health services is preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously within GP practices and Primary Care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, assessment, and short- to mid-term interventions for common mental health disorders.
• Act as gatekeeper for referrals into secondary mental health services.
• Collaborate with GPs, Consultant Psychiatrists, and Community Mental Health Teams to support recovery in the community.
