Job summary

Gerrard White Consulting is seeking a Principal / Lead Pricing Analyst for a UK general insurer. Flexible hybrid arrangement with largely remote work and occasional office travel.

This is a senior technical role to influence pricing strategy, lead complex projects and mentor junior analysts. You will collaborate with modelling, optimisation and business teams to ensure pricing approaches deliver strong customer and commercial outcomes, and you will mentor, coach and develop pricing analysts

Qualifications

• Strong experience within general insurance pricing.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or providing technical leadership to analysts.
• Good understanding of insurance products, market trends and commercial performance.
• Experience using predictive modelling techniques.
• Knowledge of a statistical or data science programming language.
• Experience of either Radar, Emblem or Earnix is required.
• Strong analytical, commercial and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience of retail pricing optimisation would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of commercially effective pricing solutions.
• Provide strategic input into pricing decisions and improvement initiatives.
• Use pricing expertise and commercial insight to optimise portfolio performance and P&L outcomes.
• Work with modelling and optimisation teams to ensure pricing models meet business objectives.
• Manage pricing activity in line with governance frameworks and established controls.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across pricing, underwriting and other business areas.
• Mentor, coach and support the development of junior pricing analysts.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, tools and methodologies.
