Job summary

Harnham in London is seeking a pricing leader to drive risk pricing improvements across a home insurance portfolio. You will manage workloads and collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, data science and commercial teams to deliver pricing improvements.

The role requires strong analytics capability, experience in insurance pricing or risk analytics, and the ability to translate model outputs into commercial recommendations. A supportive, collaborative environment with hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance pricing or risk analytics.
• Strong data analytics capability and Python experience preferred.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive business insights.
• Experience evaluating models and translating outputs into commercial recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Curious, proactive attitude with a drive for improvement.
• Experience leading or mentoring analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for improving risk pricing across a home insurance portfolio.
• Manage workloads to support profit and growth objectives.
• Analyze policy, quote, claims, loss, and market data for pricing opportunities.
• Develop insights using data, analytics, and innovative methodologies.
• Review predictive models and determine how to combine outputs in pricing.
• Identify customer segments to enhance pricing strategies.
• Build and maintain automated tools to generate pricing opportunities.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, data science, data engineering, fraud and commercial teams.
• Represent the pricing function in wider business initiatives.
• Coach, mentor and support analysts within the team.
