Job summary

Iveshead School, part of the Mowbray Education Trust, is seeking a dedicated Senior Premises Officer to lead the Site and Premises Team. You will oversee safety, security, maintenance, and cleanliness of all buildings and grounds, within a three-weekly shift pattern and weekend work to support community bookings.

The role requires general maintenance experience and strong leadership, with a focus on Health & Safety compliance and effective communication to coordinate staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• General building maintenance or DIY experience.
• Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance guidelines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns and handle lone working duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site security, alarm systems, emergency call-outs, and campus keyholding on a rota basis.
• Manage and assist with routine and reactive maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning standards, and event setups.
• Undertake and monitor statutory compliance testing (including swimming pool, water hygiene, and fire equipment).
• Oversee the work of grounds maintenance contractors and facilities support staff.
• Operate mechanical and electrical plant systems across the campus.
