Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a regional Application Sales Engineer to extend the footprint and drive growth in the UK & Ireland. You will act as the regional technical resource for the sales team, VARs, and consultants, delivering presales design, quotations, tender support, and PoC assistance.

You will run live and digital events, present to executive audiences, and liaise with marketing, engineering, and product teams. Occasional travel and remote/onsite work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent with access control/physical security experience.
• Willing to travel ~60% (remote/onsite options).
• Experience in tender reviews, specification and bid support.
• Strong communicator with internal/external networking abilities.
• Solid knowledge of integrated security systems and access control, hands-on a plus.
• Knowledge of LenelS2 OnGuard, Netbox, Pro-Watch, MAXPRO VMS or similar.
• General IT knowledge: Windows OS, IP networks, virtualization.
• Ability to explain complex tech to non-technical audiences.

Job description

• Serve as the regional technical resource and single point of contact for the sales team, Honeywell VAR channel, and consultant network
• Provide presales solution design consultancy, quotations, tender support for RFI/RFP processes, proof-of-concept support, and tailored training
• Run live and digital events, including seminars, webinars, and presentations
• Support the Honeywell UK & Ireland Sales Team in customer engagements through high-impact presentations and demonstrations for executive audiences
• Represent Honeywell at regional trade shows and industry events
• Liaise technically with marketing, engineering, product management, operations, and management teams
• Work closely with the Regional Sales Team, internal technical departments, and channel partners
• Report to the Application Sales Engineering Manager

Requirements

• Ideally have bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science and/or equivalent field experience with electronic access control systems, Physical Security Solutions and/or information technologies
• Open to remote and onsite activities with approximately 60% business travel under usual circumstances
• Experience in tender reviews, specification and bid support
• Strong communicator and internal/external networker
• Solid technical knowledge of integrated security systems
• Hands-on experience is a major plus
• Solid technical knowledge of access control and access control megatrends, including cybersecurity, cloud, DESFire EV3, mobile credentials, and smart buildings
• Honeywell product knowledge and technical certifications are a major plus
• Knowledge of LenelS2 OnGuard, Netbox, Honeywell Pro-Watch, MAXPRO VMS, or similar competitive solutions
• General IT knowledge, including Windows OS, IP networks, and virtualization
• Ability to practically apply physical security solutions to add value to end-user operations
• Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences
