The role merges technical analysis, customer engagement and commercial awareness to shape development impacts on our water and wastewater networks. You will assess proposed developments, identify risks and provide clear, practical guidance to developers, consultants and internal stakeholders, helping plan connections and reinforcements.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a technical, engineering or environmental discipline
• Experience within the water sector or related utility, infrastructure or environmental field
• Ability to interpret technical data and turn it into clear practical advice
• Strong written communication and report-writing ability
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Assess developer enquiries and pre-planning submissions for water and wastewater services
• Identify network, capacity, flooding and environmental risks linked to proposed developments
• Provide clear advice to developers, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Help identify sustainable points of connection and promote environmentally responsible solutions
• Support early understanding of where reinforcement may be required
• Contribute to planning decisions that support housing growth and long-term network resilience
• Work collaboratively across internal teams to ensure customer responses are accurate and timely
