Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for a Senior Practitioner to join the Older People Mental Health Team in East Sussex. The role involves senior-level social work across complex cases, supervision of staff and contributing to service development.

You will supervise Social Workers, Assessors and students, liaising with partner agencies while maintaining safeguarding standards and high-quality case records across care planning and reviews.

Qualifications

• SWE registration is essential.
• Relevant professional Social Work qualification.
• Experience in Adult Social Care and/or Older People’s Mental Health.
• Experience managing complex cases, risk and safeguarding.
• Experience providing supervision to other practitioners.
• Strong communication, report-writing and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload with assessments, risk management and reviews.
• Provide senior social work expertise and specialist advice.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and community services.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Provide supervision and professional support to staff and students.
• Support safeguarding investigations as needed.
• Contribute to service development and evidence-based practice.
• Ensure high-quality case recording and court work where required.
• Support referrals, assessments, planning and reviews.
