Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our team in Bromley, focusing on supporting children with disabilities. You will work with families, schools, and professionals to develop and implement tailored care plans that promote the child’s well-being and development.

The role requires a relevant degree, substantial experience, strong safeguarding knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Significant experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families, providing expert guidance and support.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Providing supervision and support to junior practitioners and volunteers, fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Engaging with families to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized in service delivery.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with local and national policies and regulations.
