Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior practitioners and volunteers, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Engaging with families to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized in service delivery.

Job description
