Salary range: Band 9, from £42,708 to £45,718
Working Pattern: Full Time, 36.25 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Urgent Care, Adults Social Care Wythenshawe team as a Senior Practitioner. The role requires at least 2 years’ experience in supervising and/or managing staff within a social care setting. The post is key to developing a high-performing social care team that works effectively with customers and other agencies. Candidates should have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and extensive awareness of issues facing adults with care and support needs, their carers, and families.
The position involves working with adults and their families. The postholder will manage a small, complex caseload and have management responsibilities such as allocating work, chairing strategy meetings, supervising staff, and deputising for the Team Manager. The role is vital in developing the quality and performance of the team, focusing on outstanding practice and ensuring the best outcomes for customers.

You will possess knowledge and skills supporting team members to develop a strengths-based approach and will be committed to their professional development.
You will have experience working in multidisciplinary teams with adults with care needs and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
You will be adept at managing conflicting priorities and making quick, evidence-based decisions and risk assessments across diverse situations.
