Job summary

Equals One Ltd in Leeds is hiring an experienced Senior Practice Accountant. The role is hybrid (Leeds office 3 days, home 2 days) with a salary of £38,000–£42,000 plus commission. The candidate will manage their own client portfolio, handle year-end accounts, tax and advisory work, and contribute to service improvement.

You will work with SMEs, build client relationships, and gain exposure across accounts, tax, management accounts and advisory work. Flexible office days are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Solid understanding of year-end accounts for SMEs.
• Experience with corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own client portfolio and maintain year-round contact.
• Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and submit corporation tax and partnership tax returns.
• Review accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and produce management accounts.
• Meet deadlines and communicate with clients to improve understanding of their accounts.
