Equals One Ltd in Leeds is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to manage a portfolio of SME clients. The role offers hybrid working with three days in the office and two from home, and a salary of £38,000–£42,000 plus commission.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Ability to manage own client portfolio.
• Strong communication with clients and owners.
• Commercial mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for SMEs, including limited companies, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and submit corporation tax and partnership tax returns.
• Review accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Produce bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Manage your own portfolio and meet deadlines.
• Communicate directly with clients and respond to day-to-day queries.
• Help clients understand their accounts, tax position and business performance.
• Identify ways to improve processes and client experience.
• Support and collaborate with the wider team.
