Park Street People Ltd is recruiting a Senior Practice Accountant near Leeds to manage a diverse client portfolio and take responsibility for accounting, tax, payroll and compliance activities. You will deliver accurate financial records and deadlines, while providing a professional and responsive service to clients.

You will work closely with clients and colleagues, supervising bookkeeping, year-end processes and audits, using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

Qualifications

• Qualified ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with post-qualification experience.
• Experience with accounts prep, VAT, payroll and Self-Assessment tax returns.
• Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple clients.
• Excellent communication with clients.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Prepare management accounts, year-end accounts and other financial reports for a range of businesses.
• Handle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and support payroll, Self-Assessment tax returns and other compliance requirements.
• Work on accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Review financial information, investigate discrepancies and ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Support year-end processes, audits and the preparation of information for HMRC and other external stakeholders.
• Provide clients with practical guidance on accounting matters and accounting software.
