Job summary

Reed Practice is representing a highly reputable independent chartered firm recruiting a Senior Practice Accountant (Client Manager). The successful candidate will join a collaborative team delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base.

You will lead client relationships, prepare statutory accounts and tax returns, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with FRS 102 Section 1A.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification in practice, working to UK regulations.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation under FRS 102 Section 1A.
• Good working knowledge of VAT, with payroll experience being advantageous.
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks,
• Excellent organisation and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong client-facing and relationship management abilities.
• A positive, collaborative approach with a genuine desire to support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a trusted business partner to clients, providing practical accounting, taxation, and business advisory support.
• Preparing year-end accounts, corporation and self-assessment tax with VAT returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with FRS 102 Section 1A.
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior members of the team.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and legislation.
• Assisting with payroll and audit assignments when required.
