Job summary

Reed in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Client Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, build trusted relationships and deliver exceptional service.

You will review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax compliance, act as the main contact for client queries, mentor junior staff and help drive practice growth. A ACA/ACCA qualified professional or qualified by experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience
• Experience managing a client portfolio in an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of accounts, tax and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify client opportunities

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Act as main point of contact for client queries and business advice
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services and add value to clients
• Review work by junior team members and provide mentorship
• Manage deadlines and ensure compliance requirements are met
• Assist Directors and Partners with portfolio development and growth
