Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a seasoned Power Systems Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex power systems for high-profile data centre and critical infrastructure projects in Manchester. You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and engage directly with clients while supporting bids and proposals.

The role offers a visible leadership position within a growing consultancy, with a flexible hybrid working environment across the UK, Europe and globally, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• CEng or working towards chartership.
• Significant experience in power systems design, analysis and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of power system studies and network design.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and client relationships.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex power systems and substation projects.
• Undertake and review load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash and transient studies.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients and support proposals, bids and business development.
• Review designs and manage risks across technical, programme, budget and quality.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical excellence.
• Help shape engineering standards and the future direction of the Power Systems team.
