Job summary

Unknown organisation in York is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to own complex BI solutions from design through deployment and ongoing improvement. You will work with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to raise standards and performance across reporting platforms.

The role is hands-on, senior, and involves mentoring, governance and architecture influence while delivering user-friendly dashboards and scalable data models.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
• Experience in enterprise reporting environments.
• Ability to mentor and review work of other BI developers.
• Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Google Cloud Platform is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex Power BI solutions.
• Design and optimise scalable semantic and dimensional data models.
• Develop advanced DAX, Power Query transformations and reporting solutions.
• Identify and resolve Power BI performance issues.
• Build intuitive, user-focused dashboards and reporting experiences.
• Maintain governance, security, documentation and deployment standards.
• Translate complex business requirements into data products with stakeholders.
• Lead technical reviews and mentor other BI developers and analysts.
• Improve existing reporting environments and reduce duplicates.
