Job summary

University of Oxford invites applications for a Senior Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Skin Immunology and Single-cell Genomics. The role is based in the NDORMS department, Headington, Oxford, and focuses on inter-disciplinary research spanning immunology and genomics to tackle graft-versus-host/donor leukaemia questions.

The successful candidate will design experiments, analyze single-cell datasets, and collaborate with partner groups to advance transformative therapies.

Qualifications

• PhD/DPhil in immunology or related field with post-qualification research experience.
• Experience with human tissue handling, including skin.
• Experience in bioinformatics analysis of omics datasets, e.g. single-cell omics.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python.
• Experience with histopathology and 10X scRNA-seq / spatial transcriptomics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out collaborative multi-centre projects identifying antigens targeted by T cells in GvHD/GvL after SCT.
• Develop analytical protocols for patient sample flows.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day lab operation and equipment upkeep.
• Write up results and contribute to reports.
• Utilise 10X, spatial transcriptomics and related technologies in analyses.
