Job summary

University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate in Immunology to join the Hepworth lab. You will independently design and perform experiments using animal models and analyze immune cells with flow cytometry, ELISA, RT-PCR, sequencing, and advanced imaging technologies.

The role involves leading a project towards publication, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating across multidisciplinary areas like neuroimmunology, matrix biology, and metabolism.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology or related Biomedical Sciences.
• Deep knowledge in mucosal immunology or related subdisciplines.
• Strong bench skills in core immunology techniques.
• Experience with transgenic animal models or in vivo disease models.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design experiments.
• Undertake and drive a research project with view to publication.
• Help supervise other lab members and students.
