Scottish Government OGD Recruitment in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Policy Officer (B3) on a permanent, level transfer basis to join the Public Land and Shared Ownership Team. The role focuses on developing and delivering shared ownership policy to support Scotland's energy transition.

You will lead cross-government policy work, engage with public bodies, UK Government and GB Energy, and drive Local Power Plan initiatives, while mentoring colleagues and ensuring staff wellbeing within the unit.

Formación

• Experience in policy development and delivery.
• Ability to engage with public bodies and government partners.
• Experience with shared ownership or energy policy is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead policy development and implementation on community shared ownership. Cross-cutting role impacting public land, onshore wind, and community energy.
• Support policy development and delivery to identify and agree the process for public land available for community energy.
• Support engagement with the UK Government and GB Energy on the Local Power Plan, including shared ownership opportunities and the UK Government’s consultation for mandating shared ownership.
• Draft high-quality briefings, speaking notes, submissions and responses to Parliamentary Questions, Ministerial correspondence and FOI/EIR requests.
• Provide line management support for a B2 and leadership of the work, ensuring staff wellbeing within the team culture.
• Be prepared to support other priorities across the Division and Directorate as they arise within the Energy Industries Division.
