Job summary

Scottish Government is seeking a Senior Policy Manager (B3) to join the Strategic Energy Projects Team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on cross-cutting energy policy, leading the Energy FMQ and coordinating responses for ministers within the Energy Strategy and Markets Unit.

You will build relationships across SG, monitor Parliament activity, and adapt to a changing environment with flexible priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy or public sector policy development.
• Ability to manage cross-cutting policy projects across teams.
• Strong briefing, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on distinct areas of energy policy within the Strategic Energy Projects Team.
• Coordinate briefing and responses for Ministers and senior officials.
• Develop narratives and key messages on energy policy across SG.
• Monitor energy policy developments and build SG networks.
