The Scottish Government Energy Industries division is seeking a policy-focused professional for the Transition Policy and Energy Security - Resilience and Preparedness role. The role supports the Energy Transition unit and critical energy resilience work, collaborating with government, sector bodies and businesses.

Based in Glasgow with hybrid working, you will lead policy initiatives, prepare briefings for Ministers, and manage high-profile engagements and responses to government inquiries.

Qualifications

• High-quality briefing skills and the ability to explain complex policy clearly.
• Strong policy analysis and synthesis across oil, gas, and energy security.
• Proven track record leading stakeholder engagements with government and industry.

Responsabilités

• Support development of policy relating to North Sea oil and gas sectors.
• Support development of policy relating to Scotland’s energy security.
• Lead extensive stakeholder engagement activity across the portfolio.
• Develop high-quality policy products for senior officials and Ministers (briefings, notes, parliamentary questions).
• Lead responses to correspondence including FOIs and EIRs.
