Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking a Senior Policy Lead to own the people policy framework, ensuring employment law compliance and alignment with our values and evolving ways of working. You will work with HR, Employee Relations and Legal to translate complex requirements into clear guidance and balanced solutions.

Lead policy governance, publication and review processes, and support successful implementation of changes through strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong employment law knowledge and ability to apply legislation in a practical commercial environment.
• Experience developing, reviewing or advising on workplace policies.
• Previous Employee Relations, HR policy or employment law experience.
• Excellent drafting skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and simply.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
• Sound judgement and the ability to balance legal, commercial and people considerations.
• A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review and enhancement of people policies across Carnival UK.
• Advise on the impact of employment legislation, regulatory changes and emerging best practice.
• Translate complex legal and policy requirements into clear, practical guidance for colleagues and managers.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across HR, Employee Relations, Legal and the wider business to develop balanced solutions.
• Drive policy simplification and consistency across the organisation.
• Own policy governance, publication and review processes to ensure an accurate and trusted source of information.
• Support the successful implementation of policy changes through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Identify opportunities to improve how policies are managed and accessed, including the use of digital and AI-enabled solutions
