Job summary

Partnering Health Ltd is recruiting a senior podiatrist for the offender health service at HMP Bronzfield and HMP Feltham. The role is part-time (6.46 hours per week) with autonomous patient assessment and treatment and a managed caseload within a prison setting.

You will hold HCPC and SOCAP registrations, operate under NHS guidelines, maintain comprehensive records, provide multidisciplinary support, and participate in CPD and audits as part of routine practice.

Qualifications

• HCPC and SOCAP registrations are required.
• At least 3 years post-graduate NHS experience.
• Experience working autonomously in clinical settings.
• Experience of lone working in secure or prison environments.
• Experience with podiatry procedures including nail surgery and biomechanics.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients in prison settings, formulating individual management plans.
• Manage own clinical caseload and waiting lists within the HMP sites.
• Take clinical responsibility for designated caseload and prioritise accordingly.
• Obtain informed consent and work within capacity-related legal frameworks.
• Deliver podiatric treatments including nail surgery, MSK/biomechanics, wound care and diabetes care.
• Educate patients and carers on self-care and communicate treatment plans clearly.
• Provide specialist advice and training to the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate records and report results in notes and letters.
• Engage in CPD, presentations and training; participate in audits and data collection.
