Partnering Health Ltd. is seeking a Senior Podiatrist for offender health services across Bracton Centre, HMP Isis and Greenvale SCU.

The role involves autonomous assessment and treatment, including nail surgery and wound care, with a focus on caseload and waiting-list management within a prison setting. Applicants need HCPC and SOCAP registrations and at least three years of NHS-based post-graduate experience.

Competenze

• HCPC registration required.
• SOCAP registration required.
• NHS podiatry experience required.
• Experience with advanced podiatry such as nail surgery and biomechanics is desirable.
• Experience working in offender health settings is a plus.

Mansioni

• Manage own clinical caseload in partnership with the HMP site.
• Assess patients, determine diagnoses and formulate individualised treatment plans.
• Deliver podiatric treatments including nail surgery, MSK/biomechanics, wound care, diabetes care and routine care.
• Take professional and legal responsibility for own work and caseload, prioritising time and clinical needs.
• Assess capacity and obtain valid informed consent within legal frameworks; support patients lacking capacity.
• Advise patients on self-care and communicate with patients and carers about conditions.
• Provide specialist teaching and training to the multidisciplinary team.
• Keep accurate records and send reports to appropriate bodies.
• Maintain CPD and participate in the CPD programme and training sessions.
• Contribute to audits, data collection and evidence-based practice projects.
• Follow health and safety policy and report accidents promptly.
• Comply with policies and professional standards (Royal College of Podiatry, HCPC, Department of Health).
