Job summary

Arden White Recruitment is seeking a PLM Lead Engineer for a luxury automotive client on a permanent basis. You will own PLM strategy, lifecycle management, and performance of PLM systems.

Responsibilities include driving PLM adoption, technical ownership, and acting as SME for PLM solutions while collaborating with Engineering and Manufacturing. You will manage suppliers, oversee UAT, and support budget and deployment decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
• Experience with ITIL and IT Service Management.
• Experience working in engineering environments with integrated software/hardware.
• Experience managing IT suppliers and third-party partners.
• Experience deploying PLM and engineering software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for PLM solutions and associated technologies.
• Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain an integrated technical computing environment.
• Ensure the successful transition of new solutions and projects into production and operational support.
• Identify, assess and manage technical and operational risks associated with PLM solutions.
• Manage third-party suppliers and Group IT resources, ensuring SLAs are met or exceeded.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment of new releases.
• Contribute to budget management across hardware, software and services for PLM.
• Ensure PLM solutions meet business requirements with good service quality and cost effectiveness.

Arden White Recruitment are working with a luxurious automotive client and we are looking for a PLM Lead Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. In this role you will take responsibility or the strategic direction, lifecycle management and ongoing performance of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive the effective use of PLM systems across the business.
• Take technical ownership of PLM applications and their ongoing lifecycle.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for PLM solutions and associated technologies.
• Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain an integrated technical computing environment.
• Ensure the successful transition of new solutions and projects into production and operational support.
• Identify, assess and manage technical and operational risks associated with PLM solutions.

Skills required

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including Teamcenter.
• Experience of IT Application Lifecycle Management.
• Good understanding of IT Service Management principles and ITIL.
• Experience managing IT suppliers and third-party technology partners.
• Experience deploying and supporting IT solutions within an engineering environment.
• Experience working with Linux cluster environments, including PBS queuing software.
• Experience supporting and deploying PLM and engineering software solutions within an engineering environment.
• Good understanding of CAx systems.
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex operational issues

across interconnected software and hardware environments.
