Job summary

Hiscox is seeking a Principal Platform Security Engineer to lead their security practices within the London Market. The successful candidate will drive cloud-first initiatives and champion secure-by-design practices while guiding multiple engineering squads.

With over 5 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, you will implement security controls and support the Head of Platform Engineering. Strong leadership skills and expertise in cloud infrastructure are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, especially with Azure or GCP.
• Experience in design and implementation of security controls in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability and compliance management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead application security practices and guide engineering teams.
• Automate security controls within the SDLC.
• Produce actionable security reporting for leadership.
• Coach teams and support overall chapter management.
